This policy explains what personal information PLM Entertainments & Events ("we", "us") collects through our website (plmentertainments.com) and our app (app.plmentertainments.com), why, and what your rights are. We are the data controller for this information.
Who we are and how to contact us
PLM Entertainments & Events provides DJ, entertainment and event services in the UK. For anything about your information, email enquiries@plmentertainments.com or call 07508966479.
What we collect
- Clients and enquiries: your name, email, phone, address, event details (date, venue, timings, guests), your questionnaire and music choices, messages you send us, and how you found us.
- Payments: what you've paid and what's due. Card and bank payments are handled by Stripe - we never see or store your full card details.
- Venues and suppliers we work with: business contact names, emails, phone numbers, invoice details and agreements.
- DJs and crew who work with us: contact details, availability, the gigs they do, signed agreements, invoices and bank details for paying them.
- App logins: your email or mobile, an encrypted password, and the date you last logged in.
- Newsletter: your email, only if you ask to receive it.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To quote for, book, plan and deliver your event and take payment - this is needed for our contract with you.
- To run our business - bookkeeping, working with venues, DJs and crew, keeping the app secure - our legitimate interests.
- To keep financial records as UK tax law requires - legal obligation.
- To send you our newsletter or offers - only with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We only share what's needed with:
- the DJ or crew member working your event - event details only, not your payment information;
- Stripe (payments), our email provider, and Render (the secure servers that host our app);
- Intuit QuickBooks, our accounting software, for invoices and payments, and our accountant;
- your venue, where needed to deliver your event;
- anyone we're required to by law.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they use safeguards approved under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and payment records for 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as HMRC requires. Other information, such as music choices and messages, is kept for up to 2 years after your event and then deleted, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Enquiries that don't go ahead are deleted within 2 years.
Cookies
Our website and app only use the cookies needed to make them work, such as keeping you logged in and protecting forms. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to move it to someone else. Email enquiries@plmentertainments.com and we'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Changes
We may update this policy; the latest version is always on this page.
