New tracks come in, older selections rotate out, and the focus stays firmly on what's worth hearing right now. 🔥 This Week's Drum & Bass Highlights Flava D & Stush — Energy (Napes Remix) We're kicking things off with some serious energy. The Napes remix of Energy brings a fresh twist to an already infectious track. With its driving bassline, rhythmic intensity and unmistakable club character, it's exactly the kind of record we love discovering. PLM Verdict: One for the DJs who want to keep the dancefloor moving. Pirapus — DANCE DISRUPTOR The title says it all. Pirapus deliver a high-impact production with powerful drums, futuristic sounds and enough energy to shake a serious sound system. This is modern dancefloor drum & bass designed to make an impression. PLM Verdict: A strong contender for a peak-time set. Darude — Sandstorm (Dimension Remix) A dance music classic gets a modern drum & bass transformation. Dimension brings his production style to Darude's legendary Sandstorm, combining recognisable melodies with the pace and intensity of contemporary D&B. It's a fascinating meeting of two generations of electronic music. PLM Verdict: Nostalgia meets modern dancefloor energy. Bou & Friction — The Block When two established names in drum & bass join forces, expectations are understandably high. The Block delivers weighty bass, crisp percussion and the unmistakable attitude that has made UK drum & bass such a powerful force. PLM Verdict: Proper bass-heavy club material. Kings Of The Rollers — T-Rex For those who prefer their drum & bass with a darker edge, T-Rex is well worth investigating. Heavyweight production, rolling rhythms and a no-nonsense approach make this a standout for anyone who enjoys the underground side of the genre. PLM Verdict: Turn up the bass and let this one roll. 🎧 The PLM Weekly Heat — Top 25 Here is our curated selection for the week beginning Monday 26 October 2026. # Artist Track 1 Flava D & Stush Energy (Napes Remix) 2 Pirapus DANCE DISRUPTOR 3 Darude Sandstorm (Dimension Remix) 4 El Pablo Go Loud 5 Bou & Friction The Block 6 Voltage Godzilla 7 Break Get Low 8 SKIYE Slow It Down 9 Born On Road, Disrupta & Carasel USB 10 Vinyl Syndicate Man of Steal (Voltage Remix) 11 Kanine Release Me (feat. It's a reminder that drum & bass isn't simply about massive drops and festival moments. The genre has an incredible depth of musical styles, from intricate rolling percussion to melodic arrangements and raw, bass-driven productions. 🎛️ From the DJ Booth: Why We Love Drum & Bass At PLM, music has always been about more than simply pressing play. It's about understanding energy, reading a dancefloor and knowing when to take the music in a different direction. Drum & bass is particularly exciting from a DJ's perspective because of its structure, tempo and mixing possibilities. With much of the genre sitting around 170–175 BPM, there's plenty of opportunity for creative transitions, phrase mixing, carefully timed drops and extended blends. It's also a genre that rewards proper preparation. Knowing where the breakdowns, builds and drops occur can transform a perfectly ordinary mix into something memorable. And with our own DJ preparation tools, including PLM Cue, we're continually exploring ways to make music preparation more efficient without losing the creativity that makes DJing special. Because technology should support the DJ — not replace the skill. 🇬🇧 Celebrating the UK Drum & Bass Scene Drum & bass has deep roots in British music culture. From the early jungle movement and legendary rave nights to today's international festival stages, the UK has played a defining role in the genre's development. What makes the scene so exciting is its constant evolution. New producers bring fresh ideas, established artists continue to push boundaries, and underground labels keep delivering music that challenges expectations. Our Weekly Heat selection aims to reflect that diversity. You'll find jump-up, dancefloor anthems, rollers, heavier productions and melodic D&B, all within one evolving playlist. 🍎 Listen to PLM Drum & Bass — Weekly Heat Want to hear what we've selected?
